- Electricity sales are being purchased by Holy Cross Energy, servicing Parachute to Vail, Glenwood Springs to Aspen
- The plant will burn clean woody biomass: Forest thinnings, hazardous fuel reductions and clean green biomass waste
- Construction started Dec 2011 and will be completed Dec 2013
Biomass is a Unique Forest Health Tool. The plant will support priority forest health and wildland fire fuels reduction treatments. Dead trees are used to produce clean, green energy.
